Fishing Success with The Vickers Group

One of my guests and my trout guide at the White
River in July of 2002.  We all caught our limit that day.

            Rainbows at the White
            River in 2001.

2 Doctors with 2 days catch...a good trip! This is my client from Chattanooga, TN

We caught these 10 Rainbows behind the Goose Neck Cafe at Mammoth
Spring, AR from a small 2 man boat with trolling motor using ultra light bait
casting rods and my 'secret' trout bait.

Walleye (4 lbs. 1 oz. - 21 inches) Spring River; Hardy, AR (Feb. 23, 1999). I caught him on an ultra light bait casting rig with green 4 pound test line. I was using a blue Rapala spoon and jigging it in fast deep current along a rock shelf. He took about 5 minutes to land because he was in swift, deep water and I had to retrieve him upstream. I got a few cuts on my fingers from the long, sharp teeth because Walleye are of the Pike family. It was worth the cuts!

A large male Rainbow Trout (4 lbs. 8
oz. - 20 inches) caught at 7:20 AM at
    Lake Taneycomo; Branson, MO (Jan.
    27, 1990)

I was using an ultra light bait casting
rig with green 2 lb. test line. It was a 35
minute fight! This was the day I
    discovered my 'secret' trout bait.

    He's mounted on my wall!

18 Rainbow Trout, approximately 11-12 inches each, caught with my wife and father on Nov. 23, 1990 at Many Islands Camp on the Spring River just below Mammoth Spring, AR. We were using ultra light bait casting tackle with my 'secret' bait!

A Drum caught at the "Fish Head" area of the St. Francis
River. I was fishing with my father and brother up river
from my duck blind. To get there you motor out the ditch at
Oak Donnick and turn up river to Thorn Point, you then go
past Patterson Flat, through Turtle Hole, around the bend
past Hatchie Coon Club, through the stumpy opening,
past Stud Horse, bear left of Suck Hole and where the river
bends to the west you are then at Fish Head.

I was using a medium weight rod with a Garcia spin
casting reel spooled with 8 pound test line.  I was using
    hot dogs.

A 28 inch Northern Pike caught at Lake Wabigoon (Ontario, Canada) in July 1993 with my dad and brother. I was using medium weight tackle with a medium depth black minnow type rattling stick bait. Notice the forked stick used as a gaff because Pike have enormous teeth.

Small Mouth Bass (approx. 3 lbs. - 14 inches long)
South Fork - Spring River; Hardy, AR (May 6, 1999).
I caught him on an ultra light bait casting rig with
green 6 pound test line. I was using live minnows on
a 'Lindy rig' in 9 feet of water just below Indian Head
  falls.

I caught this Walleye (20 inches) where the Spring River and South Fork River merge just west of Hardy, AR (May 6, 1999). I caught him in about 5 feet of water bumping the bottom with a small green and orange crawfish crank bait on an ultra light bait casting rig with green 6 pound test line.
